Where does Thuraya provide coverage?

Thuraya’s network spans Europe, North & Central Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and parts of Australia. It’s not available in North or South America.

What plan types are available for Thuraya users?

OSAT offers prepaid SIM cards, NOVA SIMs (for discounted rates in select countries), and monthly postpaid plans depending on your device and usage profile.

Can I use Thuraya for internet access as well as calls?

Yes Thuraya support GmPRS data services, suitable for light email and browsing. Dedicated terminals offer higher data throughput.

Do Thuraya SIMs expire if not used?

Yes. Prepaid SIMs typically expire after 12 months of inactivity. We recommend topping up or placing a call at least once per year to keep the SIM active.

How do I activate my Thuraya airtime or top it up?

Activation and top-ups are handled directly through OSAT. We offer online options, instant activation for SIMs, and expert support if needed.
