The Iridium Extreme satellite phone is the answer to truly global voice and data communication packaged into a satellite handset. Lighter and more compact than its predecessor, the Iridium 9555, the Extreme can track the user's location in real-time with its built-in customizable GPS and online tracking capabilities. Plus it can summon an emergency rescue thanks to its integrated SOS button.
Using Iridium’s global satellite network, the Extreme allows you to make and receive phone calls anywhere in the world. The phone offers an integrated speakerphone and hands-free capability through a headset included as standard in our Extreme® phone kit. It empowers individuals and organizations to communicate, coordinate, and stay safe in the most extreme and remote environments.
SMS and email-enabled, allowing you to stay in touch and share experiences with others anywhere in the world. SMS and email messaging is limited to 160 characters and delivery/receipt is dependent on compatibility with local mobile network carriers.
Although low-speed data is possible we only advise and support connections using the XGate Satellite Phone Email & Data Services. Both of these tools enhance your data connection making the most of the speed available. Any connections attempted without these solutions may appear to work, and potentially use airtime, but may not provide the expected service.
It is equipped with a programmable emergency button that activates critical, rapid response when you need it most. It is the only satellite phone currently available with emergency services supported by GEOS International Emergency Response Coordinating Center, included at no additional cost.
It is equipped with Location Based Services (LBS) enabling GPS positioning. Iridium Extreme Sat Phone allows you to pinpoint and share your coordinates from anywhere on the globe.
