What’s included in a tracker rental?
Each rental includes a satellite tracker (e.g., Garmin inReach or SPOT), a carrying pouch, charging cable, and pre-activated tracking and SOS service for the duration of your rental.
Can I send messages while using a rental tracker?
Yes. Most devices allow two-way text messaging, check-ins, and GPS tracking. SOS functionality is also active and monitored 24/7.
Do I need to set up anything before use?
No setup required, your device is ready to go out of the box. We pre-activate the service and provide step-by-step instructions.
Can friends or family follow my trip?
Yes, trackers include a shareable map link so others can follow your location in real time. It’s a great safety and reassurance tool for solo travellers.
Is the device insured or covered during my rental?
Basic damage and loss coverage is available as an add-on. OSAT takes care to ship fully tested units, but if something goes wrong, our team is here to help resolve it quickly.
