This Ocean Signal rescueME EDF1 marine flare is an affordable and effective way to call for help in an emergency situation. The flare is visible up to 7 miles away and will display at a consistent brightness for up to 6 hours.
rescueME EDF1 is an electronic flare and you can easily replace the battery yourself. The device has four modes of operation plus the SOS function. The LED technology provides 360 degree visibility in the Azimuth. This ensures brilliant visibility for aircraft and helicopter search and rescue.
If using as part of a marine ditch bag it's good to know that the Ocean Signal EDF1 marine flare is waterproof up to 10 metres. You can also use the battery test function to give you peace of mind that your equipment is functioning as expected.
