Iridium Web & Mail and Android 14 | Update from Iridium
Our Product Support team advised that due to recent changes introduced in Android 14 and above, Iridium Web & Mail (IMW) is no longer compatible with these newer versions of the operating systems. We are currently investigating the options for updating the app. This includes evaluating the effort involved, understanding the complexities of the required changes, and determining the best path forward for the app. Our goal is to ensure that any decisions we make align with providing the best experience for you and your users. In the meantime, we are also exploring alternative solutions and applications that we could recommend to address your needs and are here to assist with any questions or support required during this transition.

Designed specifically for use with the original Iridium GO! satellite Wi-Fi hotspot, these flexible prepaid packages provide access to voice calls, text messaging and supported data services across Iridium’s truly global satellite network.

Once installed and activated, the SIM allows you to connect compatible smartphones and tablets to your Iridium GO! device. Using the Iridium GO! apps, you can make satellite calls, send messages, share your location and access supported email and data services from remote locations on land or at sea.

With no monthly contract, Iridium GO! prepaid airtime is ideal for expeditions, sailing trips, remote projects, emergency preparedness and occasional off-grid use. Choose the package with the airtime allowance and validity period that best suits your requirements, then top up your active SIM when additional service is needed.

Please note that a prepaid SIM must be activated with a valid Iridium GO! airtime package before it can be used. Airtime allowances must be used within the selected validity period, and the Iridium GO! requires a clear view of the sky to establish a reliable satellite connection.

• The lowest validity we offer for our pre-paid Iridium GO! airtime vouchers is 180 days perfect for a short trip. You can also extend the vouchers we offer for a further 30 days by purchasing one of our 30 Day Prepaid Airtime Validity Extension vouchers.

Minimum billable increment = 20 seconds, 20 second increments thereafter.

Please note that upon requesting activation of your prepaid airtime you are agreeing that we can start providing your network services before the end of the usual statutory cancellation period and that by doing so, you lose your right to cancel your purchase of the prepaid airtime or request a refund. As a result, please check that you have ordered the correct airtime for your handset or terminal. Please refer to our terms and conditions for full information. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Prepaid units that have been carried over for more than three years will be expired on a daily basis from prepaid account balances. For any customer who has purchased a 3k/5k e-voucher, a four-year expiry period on units will apply.

All Prepaid SIMs have a 270 day grace period from the date that the card expired or the date that the card is activated where it can be recharged. Iridium Prepaid SIM Cards are automatically deactivated after the 270 day grace period is over.
