ACR OLAS Float-On is a wearable crew tracker which creates a virtual tether by Bluetooth to notify a smart device and/or base unit if a crew member falls overboard. Within 8 seconds of the virtual tether being broken an alert will be sounded to notify other crew members of the latitude/longitude of when the tether was broken.
ACR OLAS Float-On creates virtual tethers between crew members and smartphones/base units. If the tether is broken by a man overboard situation the smart device and/or base unit will be alerted of the latitude/longitude at the time the tether broke. Easily stowed on the outside of a lifejacket or inside a pocket, Float-On is perfect for all crew including children and pets.
Float-On wil detect once it is immersed in water and automatically activate its high powered strobe light which flashes once every second for up to 20 hours and is visible up to 3 nautical miles away. The Float-On also features an easily located button for the user to use the device as a flashlight.
Up to 6 different Float-On devices are compatible with a single smartphone or tablet. For tracking of more than 6 crew members installation of the ACR CORE base station or Guardian Engine Kill Switch will expand the system to up to 15 OLAS Float-On devices.
The range of the Float-On device is suitable for yachts up to 40ft in length. For larger vessels the ACR OLAS Extender should be considered.
Sailing alone? Simply activate Solo Mode and if you fall overboard your location will automatically be sent to your emergency contacts by SMS.
With no subscription required the ACR OLAS range is a cost-efffective and essential part of your onboard safety plan.
