The ACR Aqualink Personal Locator Beacon (PLB) is a GPS-enabled rescue beacon designed to quickly and accurately relay your position to a worldwide network of search and rescue satellites, reducing search time and increasing your chances of survival. It's reliable signaling technology that has saved more than 28,000 lives since 1982. The ACR AquaLink will transmit your GPS location and can be used anywhere in the world. Should you need to use your device in the event of an emergency, once returned to ACR they will provide you with a brand new device in exchange for your "Survivor Story". ACR AquaLink 350B V. ACR Resqlink+ PLB
Both PLBs from ACR are essential for any trip, to provide peace of mind. Additionally, both PLBs from ACR are buoyant, which is ideal for any adventure at sea. However, how do you choose which PLB from ACR is the best for your requirements? The ACR Aqualink PLB has a longer typical performance battery life of 35 hours, whereas the ResQLink+ PLB is 30 hours. Additionally the SOS emergency alert button is larger on the Aqualink than the Resqlink+. Therefore, it is easier to call for help by pushing the SOS button. Unlike satellite trackers, PLBs require no monthly or annual subscription, the cost of the device is the full cost. The ACR AquaLink requires virtually no set-up. Upon receipt, registered the PLB and provide emergency contact details. Then the device is ready to use.
