Iridium extend grace period on all pre-paid SIM cards

iridium-blog

Great news for Iridium customers! The grace periods on all their pre-paid SIM cards have been extended with immediate effect from 90 days to 270 days.

Previously once your pre-paid voucher expired you had 90 days to add another voucher. If you did not add another voucher within the 90 days the SIM would automatically be deactivated by Iridium. In order to use your sat phone again you would need to either obtain a new SIM card (giving you a new phone number) or pay a reactivation fee of £240.

This grace period has now been increased to 270 days. So, the customer has 270 days after expiration to top up their Iridium Prepaid SIM Card before Iridium automatically deactivates the Prepaid SIM Card.

The new grace period applies to all Iridium pre-paid SIM cards including satellite phone SIMs and Iridium GO! SIMs.

This change make Iridium an even better choice for your satellite communications. With completely global coverage the service plans can now offer flexible options for those who don't use their sat phone continuously.
