Thuraya pre-paid airtime is available across Standard Pre-Paid, NOVA Pre-Paid and Backup Pre-Paid SIM options. NOVA SIM plans offer stronger value for customers using their Thuraya satellite phone within a NOVA zone, including lower call rates and competitive SMS pricing. Outside a NOVA zone, different usage rates apply.

Thuraya NOVA SIM Terms and Conditions

Thuraya satellite phone
  • The first call must be made within 12 months. The SIM is deactivated if the first call is not made within 365 days from the date of activation.
  • The Thuraya NOVA SIM has an initial validity of 365 days from the first call.
  • The renewal fee is 39 units for every 365 days, deducted automatically from the balance on the renewal date.
  • If the account balance is below 39 units at renewal, the account enters a 3-month grace period. Incoming calls are still possible during this time.
  • If the account is refilled within the grace period, the existing balance will be restored.
  • If the account is not refilled within the grace period, it will be deactivated and the number will be lost.
