The Best Spot Trace GPS Suppliers Around

There’s no denying that we’re living in a very different world from what it was even 20 or so years ago. While tracking technologies are nothing new, they used to be relatively basic, limited to a small bright dot on a map. Today, with devices like the SPOT Trace tracker, tracking technologies have certainly come on in leaps and bounds. We’re immensely proud to be at the forefront of this innovation at GTC, supplying the best, state-of-the-art devices, including SPOT Trace trackers and more.

If you’re searching for the finest fleet satellite tracking technologies, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better option than Global Telesat Communications (GTC). GTC stands as the go-to provider for communications hardware, airtime, mapping, and related services. All our technologies work through satellite operations, providing unbeatable connectivity anywhere throughout the world.

And every device, including the SPOT Trace devices, sport industry-leading software and have access to the world’s leading commercial satellite networks.

Today’s world can be best described as the Secondary Information Age. This period is defined by the rise of the internet, satellite, televisions, and mobile phones. Unlike before in history, where it was either impossible or incredibly slow to communicate with people across the globe, nowadays, it’s simple for the most part. But even with current technologies, some areas are still either not served or underserved by regular landline or mobile networks. In addition, natural or man-made disasters exacerbate this situation.

This is where technologies like SPOT Trace GPS trackers come in. To be cut off from your assets can be a nightmare. Your assets could be left stranded and vulnerable, and this can cost a business time and money. The beauty of satellite tracking is that it can provide complete real-time tracking with 100% global coverage. So no matter where in the world your assets are positioned, you can pull up tracking whenever you need to. And modern tracking devices do a lot more than light up a dot on a map somewhere.

At GTC, we stock and supply a wide selection of GPS-enabled satellite tracking devices designed to ensure complete global coverage, even in unserved or underserved areas. As a result, you can receive real-time tracking info from your assets wherever they are located. And for people in the field, they can make phone calls, connect to the internet, and send and receive messages without any interruption.

Since being established in 2008, we’ve only continued to expand the incredible range of products that we sell. We supply everything you need, from GPS trackers like SPOT Trace to accessories, airtime, and more. We’re now considered one of the top suppliers of GPS tracking technologies to customers throughout the world. So, if you’re in the market for a way of tracking assets, you’ve come to the right place.

Range of Spot Trace GPS Products to Choose From

Here at GTC, we have a wide range of SPOT Trace GPS products to choose from. This section will discuss some of these options, starting with the SPOT Trace device itself.

As we’ve already stated in this article, the SPOT Trace tracking device offers advanced tracking for anything, from vehicles to machinery, cargo containers, boats, and more. In addition, SPOT Trace provides complete oversight and peace of mind in any situation where assets are positioned in different countries or remote areas.

The device lets you track your most valuable assets in real-time and see when the asset starts moving. Using SPOT Mapping on your smartphone, tablet, or computer, you’ll always know where your asset is. Because SPOT Trace relies solely on satellite networks, so you’ll experience considerably less downtime or signal interruption. Plus, with SPOT Trace, you’re using a device that’s running on one of the newest satellite networks available – the Globalstar Satellite Network.

Next up are our service plans, and with SPOT Trace, you can choose between contract or flex plans to suit your circumstances. Contract plans are ideal for customers who rely on the technology all year long. With a contract plan, you’re always covered. You have the option to pay monthly with contract plans, or you can pay upfront and receive all allotted messages in advance.

If you need something less permanent, a monthly flex plan is the best option. These are great for seasonal use, making them ideal for companies that don’t operate assets in remote locations 365 days a year.

Base plans offer basic tracking (5, 10, 30, and 60-minute intervals), power-off messaging, low-battery messaging, dock mode, status messaging, and movement alerts. Extreme tracking can be added for an additional cost, allowing you to track in 2 ½ minute intervals.

Moving on, you’ll find accessories available for SPOT Trace devices too. This includes waterproof DC power cables that boast an IP67 waterproof rating. These cables measure around 9ft (3m) in length and provide a secure power connection between your SPOT Trace and a DC power source.

How Does a Spot Trace GPS Work?

While satellite phones are used for communications, such as sending and receiving phone calls and messages and accessing the internet, SPOT Trace devices have a different purpose. SPOT Trace provides advanced tracking of your most valued assets in real-time. When fixed to a vehicle, piece of machinery, cargo container, or any other asset, it will instantly send a text or email when movement is detected.

SPOT Trace works by utilising satellites to relay location information instantaneously using Globalstar satellites. GPS satellites provide signals, and SPOT’s onboard GPS chip ascertains your exactly GPS location. This is then broadcast along with a pre-selected message via communication satellites. The Globalstar satellites then relay the message and data to specific satellite antennas around the world.

These antennas then route the message and data via a global network to the appropriate network. At which point, the message and data are delivered according to your preferences (email, text message, or emergency notification) to the search and rescue coordination centre.

Perhaps you’re expecting the asset to move at a set time, and it moves earlier than planned. Or maybe you’re not expecting the asset to move, and it begins moving. This could indicate theft or could simply be a miscommunication. Either way, with SPOT Trace, you can track the asset using SPOT Mapping on your phone or computer. You can see in real-time exactly where the asset is and pull up other useful metrics.

In the event of theft, this capability can facilitate asset retrieval as you can provide the tracking data and exact location to the authorities. And for general oversight, it can provide you with the information you need to make informed decisions regarding the future movement of assets. Additionally, because SPOT Trace uses 100% satellite technology, it can communicate anytime from anywhere in the world.

With SPOT Trace, you’ll receive the following benefits and more:

  • Tracking
  • Movement Alerts
  • Dock Mode
  • Power-Off Message
  • Low-Battery Message
  • Status Message

So, you’ll always know what the state of play is regarding your SPOT Trace device and asset. With tracking functionality, SPOT Trace features customised features to tailor your SPOT experience. You can choose from 2 ½ to 60-minute tracking intervals, view an asset’s GPS coordinates online or in real-time using the SPOT Mapping app.

With the built-in vibration sensor, the tracker can detect if an asset starts moving. The tracker can discern the difference between vibrations associated with moving and minor vibrations caused by the wind or an asset being bumped. With ‘Dock Mode’, it’s possible to configure SPOT Trace to track any asset that is stored on the water most of the time.

You’ll also benefit from a useful anti-tamper feature; a notification will be sent whenever SPOT Trace is powered off. So you’ll know straight away if the device has been intentionally disabled. And with daily status messages, you’ll have peace of mind knowing that your asset is secure.

With SPOT Mapping, you’re in control. This app can be used on a smartphone, tablet, or computer and syncs up with SPOT Trace. With SPOT Mapping, you get:

  • Longer Data Storage
  • Customisable Position Icons
  • Storage Capacity for More Than 50 Points on a Map
  • Ability to Share Page Improvements
  • Geofencing
  • Custom Map Layers

Benefits of Our SPOT Trace GPS Products

It should be clear by this point that SPOT Trace is the most cutting-edge means of tracking assets in the field in today’s modern world. But if you’re still not yet sold on our excellent GPS tracking devices, allow us to talk you through five of the top benefits of choosing SPOT Trace for your business. First up – reduced costs.

By utilising fleet tracking devices like SPOT Trace, you could find ways to reduce costs in many different areas of fleet management. For example, fleet tracking devices can help calculate fuel usage, allowing you to decide what the most cost-effective approach to fuel management would be. It’s also possible to monitor the behaviour of drivers. Specifically, you can look at unnecessary fuel waste, bad driving behaviour, unnecessary breakdown times, and other poor time management issues.

Speaking of driver behaviour, while SPOT Trace doesn’t provide in-depth feedback, certain facts can be discerned from the tracking data. For instance, if a vehicle is reaching its destination well ahead of schedule, this could indicate favourable traffic conditions. Or it could suggest the driver is speeding. Either way, it provides a basis for further investigation. Psychologically, however, drivers are more likely to improve their behaviour while driving if they know they are being monitored.

SPOT Trace can also show if a vehicle is constantly stopping, suggesting that the driver is taking more breaks than they are entitled to. This information can be used to ensure better time management which, in turn, ensures better customer relationships.

The next benefit relates to improved lifecycle management. By having more information to work with, you can, in turn, make more informed decisions regarding fleet management. Good lifecycle management is essential for maintaining healthy operations. This can help with improving efficiency, trimming the fat, and improving the experience for the customer. It can also help with reducing costs and improving safety.

This leads to the next benefit, which is making your business more efficient. With GPS tracking devices, such as SPOT Trace, even those that don’t provide comprehensive feedback, you’re still getting enough information to make decisions. So while you’re reducing costs, improving driver behaviour, and improving lifecycle management, you’re making your company more efficient.

Revenue is boosted, time is spent more productively, assets are safeguarded anywhere in the world, and you can keep tabs on it all from the comfort of your head office. You can also identify the best drivers, ensuring the retention of employees valuable to your business. Managers have more control, service time can be better managed, and so much more, all with GPS tracking devices like SPOT Trace.

And all this leads to customer satisfaction, which is the most important consideration for any business. Customers are the lifeblood of any business, so providing the best possible customer experience is paramount. With the right tools in place, you can receive the information you need faster, letting you make decisions that positively impact your company moving forward.

Of course, the core benefits of SPOT Trace include its incredible anti-theft functionality. With SPOT Trace in place, you’ll know where all your assets are 24/7. Movement sensors let you know when an asset is moving, handy if an asset moves early or late or isn’t meant to move at all. And with power-off notification, you’ll know if ever anyone attempts to disable the tracking functionality.

All this translates to reduced costs, improved foresight, reduced insurance costs, maximised labour costs, improved route planning, etc.

High-Quality SPOT Trace GPS Innovation

Spot for Business is a high-quality innovation that makes use of SPOT devices, including SPOT Trace, to keep remote workers and assets secure. SPOT delivers affordable, location-based life-saving emergency notification and messaging solutions via satellite to tens of thousands of users. These devices operate completely independently of mobile phone networks, making them a reliable solution for monitoring assets in the field.

Many companies operate nationally and internationally, with assets spread about the place, often in remote areas where communications can be spotty or non-existent. With this reality, more and more businesses are looking to protect their assets and fulfil their “duty of care” obligations to lone workers. SPOT Trace is especially useful for providing anti-theft protection for valuable assets, including trucks, cars, machinery, boats, and more.

SPOT Trace is a clever, innovative solution to situations where managers and owners have limited capability to monitor and audit employee activity in the field. A company can leverage the full capability of one of the world’s best satellite networks to receive and manage asset alerts and asset tracking in real-time. Devices can be configured to track in intervals ranging from 2 ½ to 60 minutes. All devices are monitored from Globalstar’s centralised cloud-based platform.

With SPOT Trace, so much can be recorded, including live and historical tracking data, geofencing, and live alerts. And up to date GPS coordinates enable accurate tracking of each SPOT Trace device using SPOT Mapping and Google Maps™. This, in effect, provides an affordable and reliable way to ensure employee accountability through visibility of where and how work was performed.

Through the creation of automated inventory logs utilising accurate tracking data, companies can exercise better audit and loss prevention.

SPOT Trace represents true innovation – the design is simple yet highly effective. The role it performs as an anti-theft alert and tracking device and the ease in which it can be deployed on a large scale makes it an invaluable asset to have. It can be used to protect both fixed and mobile assets. It’s small and rugged and comes with built-in, responsive satellite technology, ensuring complete coverage even in remote areas.

With SPOT Trace, managers and owners can optimise their operations, building redundancy and efficiency while reducing costs.
