Inmarsat IsatPhone Link and FleetPhone fixed sat phone services now available to buy online
GTC is excited to announce that two new Inmarsat fixed satellite phone services are now available to buy online at www.globaltelesat.co.uk. The IsatPhone Link (for land use) and FleetPhone (for maritime use) are global fixed satellite phone services based on the award-winning IsatPhone Pro handheld satellite phone. These fixed products offer the same voice, email and low-speed data services as the IsatPhone Pro and come with an external antenna. Cable options are at an extra cost and vary in length from 6m - 31m. The FleetPhone also benefits from the Inmarsat 505 Emergency Calling service - this is a free short code dialling facility that provides direct access to maritime relief. In a time of distress, a seafarer need only dial '505' - selected for its similarity to 'SOS' - to immediately contact a Maritime Rescue Co-ordination Centre (MRCC). This service is designed primarily for smaller vessels that do not require GMDSS-compliant equipment.
