Blackmore 2 Black Sea - 2,300 mile charity bike ride will be tracked with GTC

What better way to mark the milestone of your company celebrating 20 years of business than a charity event? Well how about you turn that charity event into an epic 2,300 mile bike ride! That journey is what Simon Barfoot of Blackmore Ricotech will begin on 16th June 2016 by riding from the UK to the Ukraine via France, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Romania and Moldova.

Equipped with a second-hand mountain bike and a SPOT Gen 3 satellite tracker from GTC, Simon wants to complete the journey in 30 days to raise money for two great causes, Hope & Homes for Children and local man, Nick Hole who is suffering from a serious heart condition.

SPOT Gen 3 Tracker

SPOT Gen 3 is the latest satellite personal tracking and messaging device from SPOT. Wherever Simon travels, the SPOT 3 will transmit his GPS location to our GTCTrack mapping portal. This enables followers to keep up-to-date with his progress. Furthermore, should Simon enter any difficulties he will be able to use the tracker to call for assistance, all at the push of a button.

We wish Simon all the best and will be following his journey via the SPOT Satellite Tracker!
