The Iridium Extreme supports SMS and email messaging, allowing users to exchange important updates when operating beyond cellular coverage. Messages are limited to 160 characters and delivery is dependent on compatibility with the recipient's mobile network or email service.
Data Connectivity
The handset supports low-speed satellite data services. For the best experience, we recommend using XGate Satellite Email & Data Services, which are specifically designed to optimise satellite data performance and improve reliability. While alternative connections may function, they may not deliver consistent results and can consume airtime without providing the expected service.
SOS Emergency Assistance
The Iridium Extreme features a programmable SOS button that can be configured to initiate an emergency response when required. This capability provides an additional layer of safety for users operating in remote or hazardous environments.
GPS Positioning and Location Sharing
