Beyond The Ultimate Use GTCTrack to Follow Competitors on the Toughest Challenge on Earth

The toughest challenge on Earth starts today! Beyond the Ultimate have begun the first leg of their world famous Ultimate Ultra Race Series with The Ice Ultra Marathon. The Ultimate Ultra Race Series consists of four extreme footraces that promise to test even the toughest competitors to their limit in a life changing adventure. BTU Tracking Competitors in the Ice Ultra Marathon will have to complete a gruelling 230km journey through Arctic Sweden in -30°C temperatures, in just 5 days - and all whilst carrying their entire kit and all of their equipment! Beyond the Ultimate describe the Arctic environment as a “place where very few of us go, with a cold so raw and real, it will burn your skin and freeze your eyes” but it will also offer competitors breath taking views of some of the most beautiful snow covered landscapes in the world as they race across snow fields, mountains and frozen lakes and camp in the wilderness of the Arctic! You can follow the progress of the race on the Beyond the Ultimate website. They are using our mapping portal GTCTrack and SPOT 2 Satellite GPS Messengers to track each of the competitors throughout their challenge. GTCTrack is a web based integrated satellite and GSM tracking solution that allows you to track any moving asset on earth, from people to containers to vehicles and everything in between. The SPOT 2 Satellite GPS Messengers will not only track the competitors but will provide an essential means of communication and access to emergency assistance should they need it. We wish the best of luck to all of the competitors and look forward to watching their progress online.
