In order to properly utilize your Iridium GO! device, it is critical to keep it fully topped up with enough airtime to let you make calls and communicate from remote and isolated regions.

About Iridium GO! Top-Ups

Iridium GO! Top-Ups are prepaid airtime plans for the Iridium GO!, a portable satellite Wi-Fi hotspot device that enables you to connect your smartphone or tablet to the Iridium satellite network from virtually anywhere on the planet. The Iridium GO! Top-Ups allow you to purchase additional airtime minutes or data allowances to use with your Iridium GO! device.

To use the Iridium GO! device, you must have an active airtime plan. Once you have purchased an Iridium GO! device and activated it with an initial airtime plan, you can purchase additional airtime in the form of Top-Ups to keep your device connected and functioning. Top-Ups can be purchased in various increments and provide a set number of minutes or data allowances that can be used within a specified time period.

There are a variety of pay monthly Iridium GO! plans available for the Iridium GO! Wi-Fi Hotspot, each of which offer different minute and data amounts and range from $71 a month for the basic package, to $174 a month for the Unlimited package. Each payment plan comes with a 3-month minimum term, with the option to change it to one month if you pay a $50 activation fee.

How to check your Iridium GO! top-up balance

To check your Iridium GO! Top-Up balance, you can follow these steps:

  1. Open the Iridium GO! app on your smartphone or tablet.
  1. Make sure that your Iridium GO! device is connected to your device and that your device is connected to the Iridium satellite network.
  1. Once connected, the app will display your device status. Tap on the "Menu" button on the bottom right corner of the app's home screen.
  1. Select "Settings" from the menu options.
  1. In the "Settings" menu, select "About" at the bottom of the screen.
  1. Your Iridium GO! Top-Up balance should be displayed under the "Airtime" section.

Alternatively, you can also check your Iridium GO! top-up balance by logging in to your online account. Once logged in, you should be able to view your account details, including your current airtime balance and expiration date. Another option is to give us a call and we can help you with your balance over the phone.

How long do Iridium GO! top-ups last?

We offer Iridium GO! top-up packages that include a set number of airtime minutes which can be used for voice calls or SMS messages. The validity period for airtime minute Top-Ups range from 6 - 12 months, depending on the specific package purchased. For example, a 400-minute Data/200-Minute Voice Top-Up expires after 180 days, while a 1000-minute Top-Up is valid for up to 12 months.
